Woman jumps into Payasvini river, ends life with three kids

 

Mangaluru, 18 May 2016: Upset over family issues, a woman committed suicide by jumping into Payasvini River in Sullia police station limits here on Tuesday. Her children too drowned along with her.

 

 

According to police, Kusuma, 32, from Mulya Atlur village along with her children - Likitha, 5; Rakshitha, 3; and Sujan, 2; - jumped into the river around 3.30pm and drowned.

 

Preliminary investigations have revealed that th ere were some family issues and these may have led her to take the extreme step, police said. Kusuma’s husband works in KVG Educational Institutions in Sullia. A case has been registered.
