Udupi diocese to observe Labour Day at Bishop’s House on May 1

Udupi, 30 April 2016: The labour Commission of Udupi diocese in collaboration with Udupi district labour department will be observing Labour Day at bishop’s house auditorium, here on Sunday May 1 at 2.30pm.

 

Udupi MLA Pramod Madwaraj will inaugurate the programme on Sunday afternoon.

 

Udupi bishop Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo will preside the programme.

 

Udupi diocesan vicar general Monsignor Baptist Menezes, MLC Ivan D’Souza, Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Board chairperson Veronica Cornelio, labour inspectors S S Ramamurti and Jeevan Kumar K H will be the chief guests of the occasion.

 

Udupi Episcopal deanery vicar Fr Fred Mascarenhas, Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh past president William Machado, president Valerian Fernandes will also attend the event, stated the media release issued by Udupi diocesan labour Commission director Elroy Kiran Crasta.
