Outsider assaults student at College campus in Modankap; Students boycott classes

Bantwal, 09 Feb 2016: The students of Carmel College, Modankap, here boycotted the classes for not accepting their memorandum related to assault on one of their student by a home guard personnel from Mangaluru, who illegally entered the College campus on Monday February 8.

 

 

The students registered a case on Monday with Bantwal town police station related to assaulting II BBM student Mohammed Anish, whilst he was riding his bike in College campus by Kishore, home guard personnel from Mangaluru.

 

Meanwhile, the students alleging that the College principal was not bothered about the student to register a case in support of student, they boycotted the classes on Tuesday.

 

Bantwal town sub-inspector Nanda Kumar who arrived at the College convinced the principal to accept their memorandum and the students returned to the classes.
