K R Pete: Taluk Panchayat celebrates Tipu Sultan Jayanti

K R Pete, 15 Nov 2015: The taluk panchayat organized 265th birth anniversary of Mysore ruler Tipu Sultan at Mini Vidhan Soudha here on Saturday November 14.

 

The town council K Ghouse Khan, Tahsildar K Ratna offered floral tribute to the portrait of Tipu Sultan, who fought against British rulers and died in the battle ground.

The Muslim community leader K Yunus Khan, MLA Narayan Gowda, taluk panchayat former president Nasser Pasha, zilla panchayat former member B Nagendra Kumar, block Congress president Mattigata Krishnamurti, taluk panchayat president Bhuvaneshwari and others were present.
