Two men attacked by gang of six at Handelu

Mangaluru, 20 Sep 2015: Two men who were plying from Mangaluru to Moodabidri were waylaid by a gang of six men and were brutally stabbed, at a place called Handelu on Sunday.
The victims are Vasu Acharya (32) and Ashok (30) from Naravi, members of a music band. They were on their way back home after a Ganeshotsava celebration on Sunday when the gang on six men who were on bikes stopped the two and attacked them with sharp weapons.
The two who sustained severe injuries were later rushed to the hospital by the locals. The assailants and fled the spot after executing the crime.
Moodbidri police arrived at the spot and are investigating.
