Bantwal: JMFC Judge Mahesh flags-off Legal Awareness Mobile Campaign

Bantwal, 29 Aug 2015: The state Legal Services Authority was established to offered free legal assistance to citizens when their rights are infringed by others. The mobile court has embarked on Legal Awareness Campaign for the benefit of such people in this regard, said Bantwal JMFC and additional civil judge R Mahesh.

 

Ramesh was speaking after flagging-off Legal Awareness Mobile, and launching mobile court campaign that was held in association with taluk Legal Services Committee, Bar Association, TP, women and child welfare department and Kukkipady gram panchayat at Kavalapadoor gram panchayat premises, near here on Friday August 28.

 

Kavalapadoor gram panchayat president Pramod Kumar Rai in his presidential address said that in the past, the village elders themselves were awarding justice to the cases in remote villages. If one lives by the law; peace and harmony will reign in the society. The court judgment should empower the ignorant, said Rai.

 

 

The city advocate H Satish Rao was the resource person said that everyone aspires to own properties; but one got to understand the background of the same. He further offered info on property rights of Hindu, Muslim and Christians besides to get rights on encroached state-owned land.

 

An interactive meet was held on property rights on the same occasion.

 

Bar Association vice president Richard Crasta, assistant public prosecutor M S Ali, Bantwal rural police sub-inspector Rakshit, TP member Vinay Nayak also offered legal info.

 

Kavalapadoor gram panchayat vice president Bhavani, member P Jinaraj Ariga, Bar Association secretary Chandrashekar Punchame, treasurer Mohan Prabhu, past president Satish B, intermediary Yashodha, Balakrishna, office bearers of Bar Assocation, senior and junior advocates, gram panchayat members were present.
