Bantwal: Revenue officials raid on illegal sand mining yard at Jedarakodi, Kula village

Bantwal, 20 May 2015: The revenue officials with the help of Vittal police raided the illegal sand mining yard operating in a private land located in Jedarakodi, Kula village, near here on Tuesday May 19. The raid was carried out on the orders of DK district Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim based on the complaints from the local residents. 

 

The revenue officials seized sand-laden truck, sand processing unit and 15 truck-load stock of sand.

 

 

The revenue officials raided the location with the instructions from mining and geology department officials, Bantwal Tahsildars Mary Tauro and Purandar Hegde.

 

The mining and geology department – geologist Somashekar, Vittal revenue inspector Divakar, revenue assistant Girish, village council staff Raghav Gowda, Tilakraj, Vittal poloice sub-inspector Prakash Devadiga, police personnel Praveen Rai, Rakshit Rai and Prakash were involved in this operation.
