Gunmen put on duty to guard Hepshiba Rani Korlapatti

 

Mangaluru, 06 May 2015: Municipal Commissioner Hepshiba Rani Korlapatti who is at loggerheads with most of the MCC Corporators due to her style of functioning has been provided with armed security guards by the city police to ensure safety to the official.

 

 

The Corporators are of the opinion that the Municipal Commissioner is belittling them and disrespecting them by asking them to seek permission before entering her cabin. The raged corporators have spoken about various issues which has hurt them at various occasions and had recently voiced their ire in front of the CM.

 

In connection to these developments, the Municipal Commissioner, on April 22 had written to the City Police Commissioner seeking police protection.

 

Responding to this request positively, Police Commissioner S Murugan has provided gunmen to the Municipal Commissioner.

 

It is for the first time in the history of the MCC that gunmen have been deputed on duty to provide security to a Commissioner.
