Udupi: Parasuram Jayanti celebrated at Kunjarugiri

Udupi, 22 Apr 2015: Parasuram Jayanti was celebrated with pomp and gaiety at the historically famous Parasuram temple, Kunjarugiri, near here recently. Its believed that contemporary sage Parsuram through his relentless penance created the landmass of coastal district with his hatchet in ancient times.

 

The Vedic celebrations were held at the temple in the presence of Swami Vishwapriya of Adamar mutt.

 

 

The free lunch was served to the devotees on the occasion.

 

Swami Vishwesha of Pejavar mutt and Swami Vidhyadisha of Palimar mutt were also present.

 

Hundreds and thousands of devotees partaken in the religious celebrations.
