Mangaluru: Missing youth found dead, suicide suspected

Mangaluru, 19 Feb 2015: A youth hailing from Kuttar, near Munnoor, near here who was reported missing on Monday February 16 was found dead on Tuesday February 17 on shores of Someshwar beach here.

 The youth has been identified as thirty-five-year-old Naveen, a TV technician by profession and had got married  just  a year ago.

 

 Sources informed that Naveen had left his home on his bike on Monday. He had spoken to his brother over the    phone at about 3.30pm on that day, asking him to take care of the family. He also said to have told his brother  that  he will no longer be there with them. Upset with this, his family members launched a search for him. His  bike  was  found near Someshwar temple but Naveen was not found anywhere and his mobile was unreachable. As they  couldn’t trace him, a complaint was lodged with the Ullal police.

Naveen’s relatives and friends, who continued their search in and around Someshwar, found his body on the shores  of Someshwar beach on Tuesday night.

Naveen is also said to be running a finance business. He was blessed with a baby girl just 12 days ago. The couple had started living in a newly-built house after marriage, it is learned.

The reason behind his death is not yet ascertained. Ullal police registered a case in this regard and investigations are underway.
