Anu – Chithra – Art Fest at Aditi Gallery from Jan 24 to 25

Udupi, 20 Jan 2015: Mumbai’s eminent artists Anu Pavanje and Chithra Mitra will be holding two-day exhibition of their paintings at Aditi Gallery, Kunjibettu, here from Saturday January 24 to Sunday January 25.

 

Manipal Technologies CEO Vanita Pai will inaugurate the exhibition here on Saturday morning.

 

Udupi district DC Dr Vishal R, SP Annamalai K will be the chief guests.

 

Chithra Mitra will create a giant painting within minutes during the inaugural.

 

Anu Pavanje: born in the artist family of Pavanjes. Mysore style of painting, miniature art, ornamentation is her favorites.

 

 

Chithra Mitra: a self taught artist, specializes in caricature, realistic painting and live demo. On Saturday, there will be an additional event of ‘Art For U,’ where art lovers can take home a drawing made on the spot by Chithra Mitra, upon a token donation to Aditi Trust. On Sunday, students of art from all art schools in Udupi would interact with the artists.

 

The exhibition Anu Chithra, remains open on Saturday and Sunday from 10.00am to 7.00pm, according to a press release issued by Praveena Mohan, curator of Gallery Aditi and Dr Kiran Acharya, managing trustee, Aditi Trust.
