Bantwal: Couple critically injures; child survives in road mishap at Mani Junction, NH 75

Bantwal, Sep 11, 2014: A couple was critically injured when their motorcycle was hit by a marauding private bus at Mani junction, near Vittal, here, while their three-year-old daughter survived with bruises, on Wednesday September 10. 

 

The critically injured were identified as forty-year-old Yogish Bhandary, a native of Boliyar, near here and his wife thirty-five-year-old Pavitra, who were admitted in a private hospital at Mangalore.  Their three-year-old daughter Prapti survived.

 

 

The passenger bus plying from Mangalore to Puttur hit the motor cycle of couple at Uppinangady, on Mangalore – Bangalore NH 75.  It’s a accident-prone busy intersection on national highway, wherein the locals and motorists demanded the highway authorities to construct a roundabout since long. The locals urge the concerned authorities to lay the roundabout at the earliest in order to avoid future mishaps and save precious lives.
