Moodubelle Unit of ICYM observes Teachers Day

Udupi, 08 Sep 2014: ICYM Unit of Moodubelle observed Teachers Day on Sunday, 7 September 2014 soon after the 7.30 am mass and honoured 35 presently serving and retired teachers to manifest their respect to them. Rev, Fr. Joswey Fernandes honoured the teachers by offering them flowers.

 

The gathering of the teachers was held in the Parish Mini-hall. Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes in his brief message appreciated the service of the teachers and wished them well. On behalf of the teachers, J.B. Miranda thanked the ICYM for honouring the teachers and shared his experience as a teacher.

 

 

Besides Rev, Fr. Joswey Fernandes, Alphonse K. Alva-Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council, Vincent Fernandes-Animator of ICYM and Glenjoy Alva-President of ICYM Moodubelle Unit were on the dais.

 

To entertain the teachers, lucky games were organized by Lloyd Rebello and the winners in these games-Mrs. Leena D’Sa, Denis Martis and Ms. Rinol Rodrigues were given prizes.

 

Glenjoy Alva welcomed the guests and the teachers and Ms. Felina D’Souza anchored the programme. The Teachers Day programme was coordinated by Deril Mathias and his team. Breakfast was served to all those who were present for the programme.
