Udupi: MSRM College, Shirva celebrates Sadbhavana Day

Udupi, Aug 27, 2014: NSS unit of Mulky Sundar Ram Shetty (MSRM) College, Shirva, near here celebrated Sadbhavana Day and communal harmony meet at the College auditorium, here on Tuesday August 26.

 

State Bank of Mysore, Shirva chief manager former Indian navy personnel Valerian Aranha was the chief guest of the occasion.

 

 

Speaking on the occasion, Valerian said, ‘Our country has unity in diversity with people of different faith, caste and creed.  The nation faces internal threats more than from our neighbouring countries,’ said Valerian.  He also shared his naval experiences on the same occasion.  Meanwhile, Valerian called on the students to be tolerant in the society and maintain cordial relations to fellowmen and become worthy citizens of great nation. He also administered oath to the students.

 

MSRM College principal Professor Subramanya Bhat K presided the programme.

 

The College NSS officer Professor Raghuram Shetty welcomed the gathering.  Priyanka proposed vote of thanks.
