MLA Sunil Kumar urges Students to become worthy citizens

Karkal, Aug 22, 2014 : The student unions should not be restricted to cultural activities, instead should have societal concern along with focusing on shaping the future of each student, said Karkal MLA V Sunil Kumar.   

 

MLA Sunil was speaking after inaugurated Akshara Dasoha building at Government Pre-University College, Belman, near here on Thursday August 21.  MLA Sunil also inaugurated NSS unit and students union on the same occasion.

 

 

The cultural activities will bring about change in an individual and also helps to foster them in order to become a responsible citizen.  The youth has the capacity to bring changes in society.  The students had to develop pro-society thinking along with securing good marks in studies.  NSS will help the students to become worthy citizens in the future, said MLA Sunil.

 

Belman gram panchayat president Shankar Kundar presided the programme.

 

TP member Xavier D’Mello, the College betterment Committee president Satish Mada, JCI Charitable Trust president Tukaram Shetty, school betterment Committee president Madhav Nayak, Suryakant Shetty, Mohandas Shetty, Ramanat Shenoy, Rotary president Suresh Rao, Suryakant Shetty and others were present on the occasion.

 

The College principal Dr B Janardhan Bhat welcomed the gathering.  NSS officer Ranjit Kumar delivered the introductory address. The teacher Madhav compered the programme.  The high school head teacher Shanti Bhat proposed vote of thanks.
