Mangalore : Four vehicle-lifters arrested

Mangalore, 16 Aug 2014: Four alleged vehicle-lifters were arrested by the Urwa Police on August 14. Three bikes were seized from the accused identified as Bejai New Road resident Prathik (19), Car Street resident Rakshith (19), PVS Kalakunj resident Shishir (19) and Sakleshpur native Karthik (19).

 

 

When the Police was checking the vehicle near Kottara one of the vehicle who was riding the vehicle without number plate was stopped by the Police. When the Police probed further they also found that he didn’t posses any documents. The accused was then taken to the Police Station. Upon interrogation he revealed that the bike was stolen from Hoigebail, not alone that he also revealed the name of the other three accomplices.

 

According to the Police, they were involved in theft of bikes in Hat Hill, Yeyyadi, one Alto Car and break ins in petty shops.
The Police team included H M Povappa and Vishalakshi, PSI,Manohar, Omdas, Santosh Sasihithlu, Kantharaj and Santhosh were present.
