M’lore: Municipal Authorities begin Laying Interlocks in front of St Agnes College

Mangalore, 29 Sep 2013: The municipal authorities began clearing the rough surface on either side of the road opposite of St Agnes College, Bendore, here and laying the interlocks on Saturday September 28.

The busy road with students crossing the road on either side was inconvenienced by bumpy surface that will have a smooth walk soon, by the efforts of local corporator Sabita Misquit.

 

When this reporter queried why the stretch of road from St Agnes College till St Theresa School sans footpath, corporator Sabita said that the open drains will be covered with slabs to facilitate pedestrian pathway shortly.

The municipal executive engineer Jayaprakash, assistant engineers Krishna and Shafiq, Shivabagh corporator Sabita Misquit and Congress youth leader Nelson Monteiro and others were present on the occasion.
