Hassan: Villagers Beat-up Teacher accused of sexually abusing Girl Students

Hassan, 27 Aug, 2013  : The villagers beaten up a teacher for sexually harassing a thirteen-year-old girl student and handed over to the police, being reported.

 

 

The teacher T S Bhaskar Kumar serving in Government Higher Primarhy School, Kanchanahalli, near here was alleged to have been sexually abusing a girl student studying in Class VII.  The girl hails from a poor family, to add to that her father passed away recently, who was subjected to sexual abuse.   

 

The girl confessed to her mother that she will not go to school because of sexual harassment by a teacher.   Her mother complained to head teacher of the school and also block education officer Ravi Kumar. Meanwhile, the villagers arrived at the scene, who locked him in a classroom and thrashed mercilessly.  He was later handed over to the the custody of Hassan rural police.

 

The teacher – Bhaskar was working in the same school since 8 years and was known to sexually abuse several girl students.

 

Addressing the media persons, DDPI Basavaraju said that Bhaskar was suspended from the service on the basis of the complaint and is now under judicial custody.
