Udupi: Spoorthidhama Celebrates I – Day in Honor of Martyred Indian Armed Forces

Udupi, 18 Aug 2013: ‘We got freedom from imperial rulers and nation became world’s largest democratic country.  Over the years, the nation is weakened owing to internal conflict, greed for power and wealth by the politicians.  The neighbouring countries are trying to exploit the situation by frequent incursions.  One cannot imagine what would be the fate of the nation, if the security forces left the borders unguarded.  Therefore, let us remember the sacrifices of Indian armed forces guarding the national borders on this sixty-seventh Independence Day celebrations,’ said Spoorthikdhama CEO Dr Keshav Koteshwar.

 

Dr Keshav Koteshwar was delivering I – D message at Spoorthidhama rehabilitation center, Koteshwar, near here on August 15.

 

Dr Keshwar unveiled the portraits of 21 brave soldiers who were awarded with ‘Parama Veera Chakra’ at Spoorthidhama.

 

Rotary Club – Tekkatte president Manjunat Prabhu hoisted the national flag.

 

 

 

Rotaract Club – Kundapur president Prashant, Beloor gram panchayat vice president Suresh Mogebettu, Rotary Club - Tekkatte president Prashant, Beloor gram panchayat vice president Suresh Mogebettu, Rotary Club – Tekkatte IPP Sudhakar Shetty, secretary Sridar Achar and others were present on the occasion.

 

Spoorthidhama co-ordinators Mallikarjun, students Rajesh, Netra and Renuka spoke on Independence Day.

 

Spoorthidhama animator Yogesh Kumar welcomed the gathering.  Milagres College MSW student Jiji compered the programme.
