Kundapur: Sixty-Seventh Independence Day Celebrated at Our Lady of Rosary Parish

Kundapur, 15 Aug 2013: The sixty-seventh Independence Day was celebrated at the aegis of Catholic Sabha unit at Our Lady of Rosary parish, here on Thursday August 15 morning.

Earlier, Our Lady of Rosary parish priest and deanery vicar Fr Anil D’Souza and principal Fr Praveen Amrut Martis concelebrated the festal Eucharistic Celebration of Assumption of Mother Mary at the parish, attended by large number of congregation. 
Kundapur magistrate court Judge Pinky D’Sa accepted the guard of honor from NCC cadets on the occasion.

 

 

Judge Pinky D’Sa in her message said, ‘It’s the time to introspect whether we have got true freedom.  The carefree life is not freedom.  Everyone in this country has to live without fear.  When over 2,500 criminal cases are being filed in Kundapur sessions court every year, one can imagine what the state of affairs is across the nation.  The true liberty lies in following the teachings of Jesus Christ to live on, said Pinky.

Pinky distributed certificates to toppers of Christian doctrine exam that was held by Catholic Sabha of Kundapur parish unit.
Fr Anil honored Pinky on the occasion and Pinky thanked for giving her an opportunity to address the gathering.
