Udupi: House collapse at Hebri claims a life

Hebri, 07 Aug 2013: A woman was killed when her house collapsed due to heavy rain. The incident occurred on Monday night at 11.30 in Yalagoli near Shivapur of Hebri.

 

The deceased has been identified as Poornima (26). Poornima’s husband Sundara and sister Pushpa were also injured in the incident who were  later taken to Mangalore Wenlock hospital. However the kids who were also sleeping with their parents had a miraculous escape. Local officials have visited the place.

It is said that third kid of Sundara- Poornima couple was sleeping in a cloth cradle, when the wall fell the cradle was tossed away, due to which the kid was safe. Other two kids have also escaped from the danger.
