Valadore Welfare Association celebrates Aatidonji Dina

Udupi, 6 Aug 2013: The folk art scholar Bannanje Babu Amin inaugurated Aatidonji Dina, that was organized by Valadore Welfare Association of Shirva, which comes under the limits of Majoor gram panchayat, here recently, by traditionally pouring paddy into the large measure.

Speaking on the occasion, Babu Amin said that there lies scientific truth behind the traditional celebrations that reflect the better human values by worship and other contemporary practices, said Babu Amin.

 

The renowned Yakshagana artiste Manohar Kundar Yermal expressed concern over the gradual degeneration of traditional culture of Tulunadu at the wake of modernity.

ZP member Arun Shetty and Shirva gram panchayat member K R Patkar also spoke on the occasion.

Saraswati V Bhandary presided the function.

Valadore Ajit Shetty, Shantaraj Shetty, Narayan Shetty, Bailumane Raghu Shetty, Prakash Palame, Prasad Shetty and Gopal were present at the dais.

Forty-one varieties of delicacies that were prepared by household families were shared on the occasion.
