Udupi: Tribal Alcohol De-addiction Camp underway

Udupi, 18 May 2013 :  Udayakumar Shetty, project officer of integral tribal development inaugurated eighth tribal alcohol de-addiction camp for tribal community here on May 16, in the joint auspices of district integral tribal development project, Karnataka / Kerala tribal organizations Federation and Dr A V Baliga Memorial Hospital. The camp will conclude on May 25.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Udayakumar said that the educational backwardness and alcohol addiction of tribals are the major issues, while the efforts of Dr B V Baliga Hospital in this regard are highly appreciated, said Udayakumar.

The integral tribal development manager Vishwanat Shetty, Federation president Susheela Koraga Nada was the chief guests of the occasion.

Dr A V Baliga Memorial Hospital director Dr P V Bhandary presided the programme.

Rajendra Baikady welcomed the gathering.  Pavitra proposed vote of thanks.  Soumya and Ashwini compered the programme.
