Moderate Rains arrive across the district ahead of Monsoon

Udupi, 30 Apr 2013: The moderate rains arrived across the district on Sunday April 28 night, which has cooled the soaring temperatures. The untimely rains coupled with gale and lightning indeed brought joy to farmers’ fraternity.

 

 

The lightning struck the house of Padmanabha Bhat, residing in Kunjibettu ward, here, destroying electrical gadgets including television set.  The tiles were blown away in the gale and cracks have developed on the walls.
