Shirva: Inchara – 2013, Children’s Summer Camp Held at Bantakal School

Udupi, 8 Apr 2013: At the joint auspices of St Mary’s College, department of social work, Shirva and Rotary Club, Shirva, two-day summer camp, Inchara – 2013 was held for the students of Durgaparameshwari Higher Primary School, Kodu, near here on Saturday April 6.

Shirva gram panchayat member K R Patkar inaugurated the summer camp.Speaking on the occasion, Patkar said the summer camps indeed enhance the self confidence of students besides provide a platform to exhibit their inherent talent.
Shirva Rotary Club president Leo Noronha presided the programme.

 

 

The head of department of social work Vincent Pinto, Shirva panchayat development officer Malati, lecturer Laxmi Acharya, Bantakal Durgaparameshwari School head master N Radhakrishna Prabhu, Kodu School head master Santosh Kumar Hegde were the chief guests of the occasion.

Mudarangady Government Pre-University College lecturer Deviprasad, Sooda Government High School teacher Ramesh Acharya Bantakal, Shirva Community Health Center senior health assistant Nagayya Hiremat and Bharat Nirman volunteer Asha Yarlapady were the resource persons.

Bantakal Durgaparameshwari temple managing trustee Sadambail Sasidar Wagle presided the valedictory function. Mudarangady gram panchayat development officer Benny Quadros, gram panchayat member K R Patkar, lecturer Laxmi Acharya, school headmaster Radhakrishna Prabhu were the chief guests of the occasion.

The prizes were distributed to the winners of competitions.The variety cultural shows were staged by the students as part of entertainment.

Vishwanat welcomed the gathering.  Chaitra proposed vote of thanks.  Florin compered the programme.
