Mangalore: No breakthrough in murder case

Mangalore, 02 Dec 2012: The city police has not made any arrests pertaining to the murder of a rowdy-sheeter, who was brutally murdered on Falnir Road on Saturday night. The deceased identified as Bejai Raj(46) was accused in two murder cases including the murder case of his former mentor Pandu Pai.

 

Police commissioner Manish Kharbikarsaid that they have definite clues about the persons involved in the murder.

 

Police said the victim was hacked to death by three persons with sharp weapons in full public view at around 10 am, while he was at a coin booth. Though he was rushed to a nearby hospital, doctors declared him dead on arrival.

 

Meanwhile, a TV channel reported that underworld don Ravi Poojary had claimed responsibility for the murder. Police sources said the claims will be looked into, but the police will conduct their own investigations to determine who was behind the act.
