Padil attackers must charge under Goonda Act: Manjula

Mangalore, 13 Aug 2012: State Womens’ Congress President Manjula Naidu said that the State Women’s Commission chief C Manjula has mentioned the girl victims of the Padil Attack as prostitute; hence she must resign from the post and must apologize the victims and their parents.

 

 

She was speaking at the press meet held at District Congress Office on August 13, Monday. She also said that BJP in the name of culture is breaking the society.

 

The members of HJV have attacked the students and misbehaved with the girls. If they would get little time, they would also done rape attempt. Hence they must be booked under Goonda Act.

 

She also said that the students were enjoying the birthday party and it was not the rave party like held in Udupi. The congress party has also urged the IGP Gopal Hosur to charge Goonda Act against attackers. We condemn Home stay attack and all students must come forward to oppose the attack and the congress members are there to support, he said.

 

State Women’s Commission chief C Manjula has also insulted the parents of victims and charged case against them without any proof; hence the concerned minister like R Ashok, must resign from the post with morality if do not take action.
