Kalianpur: Astronomy Blog inaugurated at Milagres College

Kalianpura, 27 June 2012: Internet blog, kagola.blogspot.com a first Kannada blog dedicated to Astronomy was inaugurated in Milagres College Kalianpura. Mangalore University Degree Colleges Physics Lecturer’s Association President and College Physics Head of the Department Dr. Jerald Pinto inaugurated the blog and called upon the students to make use of the internet and develop interest in Science.

 

 
The blog has been designed and maintained by Hariprasad who is an old student of the College and employee of Wipro, who in his introductory note said that this blog has been created with the intention to have a platform for articles and already the articles has attracted readers from the country and abroad and also receiving suggestions and appreciations from them, he said.

 
Sugit Kumar a BSc 3rd year student of the college who typed the articles in Kannada for the blog was felicitated at the function. The program was presided over by Principal Dr. Nerry Carnelio, who appreciated Hariprasad. College Physics Lecturer Prof. Archana Dabade welcomed. 3rd year BSc student Kishore compeered the program. Sujit Kumar proposed vote of thanks.
