Belman: Books distributed to St. Joseph School Students

Belman, 09 June 2012: The design of the stage prepared by the Old Students Association of the St. Joseph with a cost of approx. rupees forty thousands, has been inaugurated by Old Student and Udupi Midtown Rotary Former President Ramachandra Rao. Speaking on the occasion he remembered the years 1959 – 61 when he walked 4 kilometer distance barefoot and had the education and with the further Engineering education could live a respectable life in the society.

 

 
Old Students Association President and Karkala Taluk Panchayath Member Xavier D’Mello in his speech said that, in the last two years the Association has been working distributing the free books, uniforms and the basic facilities to the school. Now for the exploration of the students talents the stage design has been prepared, he said.

 
The program was presided over by School Correspondent Rev. Fr. Lawrence B. D’Souza, who appreciated the contributions of the Old Students Association. Chief Guests Salvador Fredrick Cardoza and Micheal Cutinho were present on the dias. Teacher Vincent Pinto welcomed the guests and the gathering. Teacher Pundalika B. Marathe compeered the program. Headmistress Sr. Monica proposed vote of thanks.
