Shirva, 07 June 2012: While one section of people are going ahead to support the establishment of stone crusher in Padoor, the other section of people from Kalattoor – Padoor who have been protesting against the stone crusher have turned to God. On Monday more than 50 people went in a procession from Kalatoor Vishwakarma Samaja Seva Sangha to Yelloor Shri Vishwanatha Temple and Kalattoor Shri Mahalingeshwara Temple and offered 51 tender coconut each. Later they visited the local Church and Masjid and offered group prayers.

They all prayed that the rock crushing project should not take place there, the minds of the people behind this should be opened and their villages are to be developed. The protest was led by Majoor Grama Panchayath Member Ravi Acharya. Chandu Shettigar, Harish Acharya, Raghavendra Acharya, Purandara Moolya and others were present on the occasion.
