Udupi: Assault for speaking to wrong number

Udupi, 12 April 2012: Here is a fine example for the mishap that can happen from the mobile phone. A person tried to call his son, but accidentally the call gone to somebody else and that person assaulted the caller, this incident happenend in Kuthpadi Grama in Udupi recently.

 

Stanley Francis D’Mello (60) dialed to call his son at 9.0 pm in the night on 7th April. But the call wrongly went to his neighbor Raghunatha. When Raghunatha answered asking who is speaking? Francis thinking it is his son on the other side, said “your father”

 

Without knowing the actual fact Raghunatha got angry and at 9.30 pm in the night he came along with two more persons to the house of Francis and has assaulted him. During this time a 30 grams gold chain of Francis broke, fell down and missing. Also, his mobile is missing.

Francis has complained to the Udupi City Police station that both of these have been taken by Raghunatha and the two others who came with him. The case has been registered.
