Belman: Old Students were felicitated for their achievement

Belman, 22 January 2012: The Belman Govt. High School and P.U. college old students Akshata Poojary and Seethalakshmi were felicitated and were appreciated for their achievement by the School and College. Presiding over the felicitation function Karkala MLA H. Gopal Bhandary said that studying in the Kannada medium school Seethalakshmi who secured 1st Rank in B. Com in Mangalore University and Akshata Poojary who won 6 Gold medals in the Commonwealth Games, have been the role models and inspiration to others. There are talents in our schools only they should be identified and encouraged, he said.

 

 
In the program Jilla Panchayath member Suprita Shetty, Taluk Panchayath member Xavier D’Mello, Belman Grama Panchayath President Mallika Rao, Retired Principal P. Jayanth Rao, Shirva M.S.R.S. College Lecturer G.K. Mankunath, Karunakara Nayak, Shridhar Bhat, B. Seetharam Bhat were the chief guests. College Principal B. Janardhana Bhat welcomed the guests and the gathering. Lecturer Uma M.V. and Jayanthi Shetty read the appreciation letter. Headmistress Shanthi Bhat proposed vote of thanks. Umesh Nayak compeered the program.
