First day of Eid Al Adha on October 4, Saturday

25 September 2014: According to the Saudi Supreme Court statement, the Day of Arafat will be observed on Friday, October 3, 2014.

 

The first day of Eid Al Adha will be on Saturday, October 4, 2014, as the Zul Hijjah moon was sighted on Wednesday, September 24, 2014, according to a statement from the Islamic Crescents’ Observation Project.

 

“Wednesday was the last day of Zul Qaadah and Thursday, September 25, 2014, will mark the beginning of the lunar month of Zul Hijjah,” the Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia said. According to the Saudi Court statement, the Day of Arafat will be observed on Friday, October 3, 2014.
