CBI files case against Himachal Pradesh CM, raids his residence

New Delhi, 26 Sep 2015: Central Bureau of Investigations on Saturday raided 11 places including residence of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh in Disproportionate Assets case.

 

The agency has been conducting a preliminary enquiry against Singh, his wife Pratibha Singh, his son Vikramaditya Singh, his daughter Aparajita Singh and a LIC agent Anand Chauhan to probe disproportionate assets acquired by the family.

 

The agency has alleged Mr Singh and his family of acquiring illegal income of worth Rs 6.1 crores during the tenure when he was serving as the steel minister from 2009 to 2011.

 

The enquiry was turned into an FIR on Saturday morning post which raids were conducted at different locations.
