Udupi/M’belle: New ICYM Committee takes oath of office for the year 2014-15

Udupi/M’belle, 01 June 2014: The new committee of the ICYM Unit Moodubelle for the year 2014-15 took oath of office on Sunday, 1 June 2014 during the 7.30 am mass soon after the homily. Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes, parish priest and Rev. Fr. Reginald Pinto, Spiritual Director of the ICYM Unit, Moodubelle administered the oath of office.
The ICYM Committee for the year 2014-15 comprises of the following members: Glen P. Alva (President), Deril D. Mathias (Vice President), Seema J. D’Souza (Vice President), Jovita Mendonca(Secretary), Gladson Alva(Joint Secretary), Kevin D. Britto (Treasurer), Renol Rodrigues(Auditor), Alwyn F. Lobo(Communication Secretary), Vinod D’Souza(Liturgy Secretary), Rexon Mathias(Sports Secretary), Nevill D’Souza(Cultural Secretary) and Elvis Lobo (Varado Representative).

While Rev. Fr. Reginald Pinto is the Spiritual Director of the ICYM, Moodubelle Unit, Vincy Fernandes has been appointed as the Animator.

In an attempt to mobilize the youth, Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes had appointed Yuva Hitha Samithi comprising of Vincy Fernandes, Joseph Martis, John Castelino, Maria Barboza and Rovita Fernandes. These members visited various Wards and mobilized the youth to attend the meeting that was held on 18 May 2014. Due to the efforts of the Yuva Hitha Samithi, 62 youths attended the first meeting on 18 May 2014 which was presided over by Rev. Fr. Reginald Pinto. Under his supervision the ICYM Committee comprising of 12 members was elected that took oath office on Sunday 1 June 2014.
