Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha to celebrate Karnataka Rajyotsava-2013 on Nov 01

Abu Dhabi, 24 Oct 2013: Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha has organised the "KARNATAKA RAJYOTSAVA" celebration with traditional gaiety and splendor, which will be held at India Social & Cultural Centre, Mina Road, Abu Dhabi on (Friday) 1st November from 10.30 am onwards.
The Chief Guest for the event will be HE M K Lokesh, Ambassador of India to UAE. The event will be presided by Mrs (Dr) & Dr.B.R.Shetty, Patron, UAE Kannadigas.
The award "Da-Ra Bendre Prashasthi" will be given to Mr.C.R.SHETTY (Founder & Former President of Dubai Karnataka Sangha) for his contribution towards Kannada Nadu & Nudi during the Rajyotsava celebration.
Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha President Sarvotham Shetty said various programmes will be staged during the celebrations. Variety of Kannada Group Dances and songs, by Divya Sharma & Team along with Mimicry & Humerous speeches by Cine Star Mimicry Dayanand from Bangalore. Dance Drama"Shila Balikas" by Rohini Ananth & Group, Dubai will be performed.
Sarvotham Shetty also said the Added Attraction to the program will be the performances by Sri Mukambika Cultural Academy, Puttur (Mangalore) and their performances as follows:
(1) Dance Drama "Kavi Kanda Karnataka"
(2) Shiva Thandava Nruthya
(3) Different types of Kannada Janapada Nruthya
Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha also wishes to honour the Kannadiga students (UAE level) during the celebration, who have excelled in the following activities :
* Students of 10th and 12th Grade who have scored 90% or above in the Board Examination of 2013.
* Students who have excelled in Sports activities and represented their school in India or Abroad and earned Gold/Silver/Bronze Medals.
* Students who have excelled in extra Curricular activities (literary, Arts & Quiz) and earned recognition from the prominent authorities in India or Abroad.
*Students who have earned HH Shaikh Hamdan Award, Dubai or Sharjah Award.
