Mangaluru: Suresh Bhandary Kadandale conferred with 12th Pingara Rajyotsava Award

Mangaluru, 23 Nov 2016: The awards motivate the recipient to do more for mankind. I congratulate twelfth Pingara Rajyotsava Award recipient Suresh Bhandary who is the succor of poor and downtrodden. He has set an example to youth and the people of social concern. One got to live meaningful life that lies from cradle to grave by introspecting beyond religion and caste, creed. The life is full of difficulties and heaven is bliss. Let us overcome the social barriers to live in harmony with others, said Karnataka food and civil supplies minister U T Khader.

 

The minister Khader was speaking during the conferring of 12th Pingara Rajyotsava Award to Mumbai-based social activist, philanthropist Suresh Bhandary Kadandale during the function held at Town Hall, here on Tuesday, November 22 evening.

 

Bishop Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza of Mangaluru presided the programme.

 

The minister Khader released the biography of Suresh Bhandary on the same occasion. Daijiworld editor Anisa Fatima inaugurated the programme.

 

 

Swami Vittaldas of Sandhipani Sadhanashram, Kemaru, Karnataka Kannada Sahitya Parishat former president Harikrishna Punaroor, C G Pinto, Fr William Menezes, journalist Jagannat Shetty Bala, Fr Denis Moras Prabhu and Elias Fernandes were present at the dais.

 

The dignitaries conferred twelfth Pingara Rajyotsava Award to Suresh Bhandary Kadandale during the programme.

 

Both Bishop Dr D’Souza and Swami Vittaldas lauded the social welfare activities of Suresh Bhandary.

 

Susheel M Noronha, Vincent Mascarenhas, Shanker K Suvarna Khar, Shobha Suresh Bhandary Kadandale, movie actor Sourab Suresh Bhandary, Kacchoor – Nageshwara temple trust general secretary Somashekar Bhandary, Bhandary Mahamandala president Sadhashiv Bhandary Sakleshpur, Satish Bhandary, Shekar Bhandary Karkala and others were present on the occasion.

 

Pingara – Kannada fortnightly proprietor and publisher Raymond D’Cunha Taccode welcomed the gathering. Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy president and Award Committee convener Roy Castelino delivered the preliminary address. Pingara – manager Sunil D’Cunha honored the dignitaries with flower bouquets. Riyana D’Cunha introduced the Award recipient. Surekha Yelavara compered the programme. Natalia D’Cunha proposed vote of thanks.

 

Junior Rajkumar famed K R Abbas presented musical concert as part of entertainment programme.
