Maharashtra Governor pays floral tributes to Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj

Mumbai, 20 Feb 2016: The Governor of Maharashtra Ch Vidyasagar Rao garlanded the equestrian statue of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Shivaji Park in Mumbai on the occasion of Shiv Jayanti here on Friday February 19.

 

 

Minister of Industries Subhash Desai, Mayor of Mumbai Snhal Ambekar, Municipal Commissioner Ajoy Mehta, former Mayor Mahadev Deole, office bearers of Shri Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Commemoration Committee and citizens were present on the occasion. 

 

The Governor later participated in the Shiv Jayanti celebrations at Mayor’s Bungalow and listened to the patriotic songs presented by the Sangeet Kala Academy.
