Mumbai, 02 Dec 2015: Christian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CCCI) Mumbai conducted a public seminar on investment opportunities in equity market and mutual fund at St Xavier Technical Institute, Mahim (West) here on November 29.
CCCI chairman Antony Sequeira commenced the function at 9.30am post breakfast provided by the organizers, by giving his welcome speech and explained the need for educating the public on intricacies of Investment opportunities in equity market and mutual fund.
Harshad Thakkar, chairman of Ashapura Intimates Fashions Ltd was the chief guest and in his speech he made the audience go through his journey of humble beginnings to a 500 crore market cap and segment leader. He also spoke on ease of doing business in India and the prospects of ‘Make in India.’
Joseph Menezes, a certified financial planner elaborated on wealth management. He illustrated the 7 financial goals in an individual’s life and guided the path to it. Premal, from Reliance Mutual Fund gave a comprehensive talk on mutual funds towards wealth creation In his talk he actively engaged the audience and shattered some of the myths and inhibitions that general public holds against mutual funds.
Clifton D’Silva, managing director of Altina Securities Private Ltd explained about the risks involved and safeguards to be taken while investing in secondary market. He also explained how an investor can do fundamental analysis for wealth multiplication.
Amit Chaudhari, chairman of Bombay Industries Association proposed the vote of thanks. This program was compered by Priya Andrades.
The hall at St Xavier Technical Institute was filled to capacity and all those who were present appreciated the efforts taken by CCCI in educating the general public on investment and for wealth creation.
