Abu Dhabi: Indian Ladies Association celebrates 39th Gala Annual Nite

Abu Dhabi, 05 May 2015: Indian Ladies Association (ILA) here organized thirty-ninth gala annual nite at Al Bustan ballroom of Novotel Hotel, Airport Road, here recently.

 

ILA honorary general secretary Elfreda D’Souza opened the event by welcoming the guests and fellow-members.

 

ILA honorary vice president Sonal Kapoor, honorary treasurer Sunita Wagle, honorary literary secretary Rahmath Ibrahim, honorary social welfare secretary Andaleeb Mannan and honorary joint treasurer Puja Singhvi were preent at the dais.

 

 

 

 

The patrons for the year 2014 were felicitated with the Shukran Awards.

 

Vinay Verma from Chhappan Bhog was the first recipient of the Shukran award.

 

Dr Naveen Kumar of Air India, Sandeep Sood of Radio Mirchi and Anwar of Abu Dhabi Refreshments were also honored with the Shukran Awards.

 

Neera Verma was the guest of honor felicitated founder member and generous sponsor of ILA Angelina Goveas, senior member Sneha Dutta by presenting Commitment to Service Award.

 

It was followed by the cake cutting ceremony. ILA acknowledged the dedicated service of ILA office staff who have completed more than a decade of service.

 

Kannan Karuppia was awarded a trophy for his dedicated services to ILA.

 

Ismail M. Kutty Shivamogga was awarded an Appreciation Award for his honorary services to ILA.

 

The outgoing Committee was felicitated with trophies, gifts and certificates. The members who helped ILA by giving their time and kind were given the Star Award.

 

The members who supported ILA in one way or the other were given the Appreciation Award.

 

The entertainment programme was very graceful, vibrant and colorful and gave an insight into India’s different states and also took the gathering around a journey to these states, with a beautiful narration put together by Ankita Mehrotra and Archana Malhotra. It was enjoyed by each and every one and prompted them to come on the dance stage and participate. Participants of this group dance were felicitated by handing over Certificates and Gifts.

 

Dinner was served which included Indian traditional delicacies.

 

Food and Entertainment was appreciated by all and they complimented the entire Committee for their hard work in organizing this mega event.

 

To conclude mega gala Nite, the much-awaited raffle draw was held amazing prizes of Air India ticket, 42” LED Philips TV, Liali Gold Pendant and much more.

 

As the members left, gift hampers were given to them as well as their spouses. The event was a grand success and a memory to cherish.
