Mumbai: St Xavier’s High School, Borivali (E) celebrates National Science Day

Mumbai, 01 Mar 2015: As a tribute to Professor C V Raman, the great Indian physicist who discovered the Raman Effect, St Xavier’s High School, Borivali (East) here celebrated the National Science Day on Saturday February 28 with great zeal and enthusiasm.

The school organized a Science Exhibition in the school premises. The students displayed various projects on various scientific issues like environment, human anatomy, solar system, problem of pollution, energy conservation, diet etc.

 

The students of Class I to Class IX presented their exhibits providing valuable information and awareness on every issue. The colorful exhibits included projects that were still and working models.

The parents who visited the exhibition highly appreciated the efforts of Dr A F Pinto, chairman of St Xavier’s Education Institutions and Ryan Group of Education Institutions, managing director Grace Pinto, management, head teachers, teaching staff and students for organizing the programme.

‘Organizing this kind of exhibition encourages children to go beyond the books and pour out their imagination power,’ said juror sub-inspector Jaywant Dukhande.
