Baroda: Tulu- Kannadigas of Gujarat felicitate Karnataka Rajyotsav Awardee Jaya Suvarna

Baroda, 05 Jan 2015: At the joint aegis of Gujarat Billawar Sangh and Tulu Sangh – Baroda, public felicitation of Karnataka Rajyotsav Award recipient and All India Billawa Federation president Jaya C Suvarna was held at Gujarat Billawar Sangh auditorium, Alkapura, near here on Sunday January 4.   

 

Tulu Sangh – Baroda honorary president and Gujarat Billawa Sangh founder president Dayanand Bontra presided the programme here on Sunday.

 

Mohan C Poojary Ahmedabad, K S Anchan Surat, Tulu Sangh Baroda former president Jayaram S Shetty, S K Haleyangady, Billawar Association Mumbai president Nityanand D Kotian, Tulu Sangh Baroda president Sasidar B Shetty and others were present on the occasion.

 

 

Dayanand Bontra highlighted the farsightedness of Jaya Suvarna in uplifting the economically-weaker people within Billawa community. 

 

Jaya Suvarna in his acknowledgement address said that Gujarat Billawar Sangh and Tulu Sangh Baroda are like 2 eyes for the people hailing form Karnataka settled in Gujarat. He said, ‘I am indeed grateful to be felicitated by them,’ said Jaya.

 

Sasidar B Shetty welcomed the gathering. S K Haleyangady delivered the keynote address. Dayanand Salian rendered the prayers. Sujata K Shetty read the citation letter. Tulu Sangh – Baroda treasurer Vasu P Poojary proposed vote of thanks. 

 

Tulu-Kannadigas who were settled in Ahmedabad, Vapi and Surat towns were present in a large numbers to witness the felicitation of Billawa veteran leader Jaya Suvarna.

 

Variety cultural shows were also held as part of entertainment programme.
