Retired teacher Girija f’ted; SSLC student Vinyas gets 13 marks more in revaluation

Udupi, Jul 12, 2014 : Vittal Nayaki Nalkubidhi, a Yakshagana veteran and alumnus of Mahabaleshwar Hindu Higher Primary School felicitated teacher Girija Nayak, who retired after serving 36-years in the same school, here on Friday July 11.

 

Vittal Nayak lauded the humane qualities of Girija throughout her teaching career.  The devoted teachers can reform the society, said Vittal.

 

Belle - St Lawrence Aided School headmaster Sylvester Mathias presided the programme.

The entrepreneur Pundalika Nayak, Pune entrepreneur and philanthropist Subash Hegde, Yakshagana teacher Prabhakar Acharya Indrali, the past headmaster Bhaskar Shetty, administrator Sitaram Shetty Yedmer, headmaster Vivekanand Shetty, donor Helen D’Souza and others were present on the occasion.

K Vinyas Pai, student of St Lawrence High School, Moodubelle who had applied for revaluation of her mathematics paper in the recently held SSLC exam secured an addition of 13 marks.  Accordingly, with the revaluation Vinyas secured a total of 591 marks and 94.56 percent.
